Gurdwara Dera sahb

Dera sahb

This gurdwara is situated near lahore fort. According to sikh believe the 5th of the 10 gurus, Guru ajun dev was murdered in 1606 ad. In 1619 the construction of the gurdwara began and after that many came preserved this great building. The building is an great example of the Sikh's history and their presence in Lahore.

The old steam train is one of many gifts that the British have given to the subcontinent. These were used till 1970's and after that diesel engine were started in Pakistan. Now they are only used as symbol of Pakistan Railway, standing at railway stations all over the country.

Lahore fort also known as shahi qila was built by Akbar the great mughal emperor. It consists of two gates one is alamgir gate and second is masti gate.This building is a great example of the mughal era. It is made on large area of land and has many different chambers.

Badshahi Masjid

The mosque is the 2nd largest in South Asia and Pakistan  and 5th in the world . This project was started by Aurenzeb  the great mughal emperor in 1671 and completed in 1673. People from all over the world come here to see the great Muslim architecture. It reminds us of the old times. Many great emperors and people would have walked on these tiles and many said prayers in this mosque.

In old Lahore the people and there culture is still of the 17th century. People are still warm and welcoming s they were for the guest and mughal emperors. "Gulche" which normally people eat with milk and they are often sweet but in old Lahore these gulche are salty and are served with great love and heart.

Some say it is resting place of a sufi saint whose name is unknown. Some say it was made by a mughal emperor in the memory of his love. There are several stories and myth about  this dome.This dome is a mystery that has kept its secret for many years. It is situated in Anarkali , Lahore.
